Aavegotchi has announced the completion of converting its wearables from 2D to 3D, ahead of Gotchiverse3D launch.

The conversion process included over 300 wearables and various eye shapes, and is intended to improve the user experience by providing enhanced visual and functional integration within the Unity platform.

The 3D wearables affect the appearance and attributes of Aavegotchis, including energy and aggressiveness—exclusive sets offer additional bonuses.

What is Aavegotchi?

Aavegotchi is a blockchain-based game developed by Singapore-based Pixelcraft Studios. It combines elements of DeFi with NFTs. In the game, players use NFTs as avatars, which can be staked with interest-generating tokens and used within the Aavegotchi metaverse.

Aavegotchis are digital characters represented as pixelated ghosts on the Ethereum blockchain, following the ERC-721 standard. Their value is determined by rarity, which is influenced by traits, staked collateral/aTokens, and equipped wearables.

Players can increase their Aavegotchi’s rarity by participating in mini-games, governance, and community events. The rarity of Aavegotchis impacts their market value and performance in rarity-based minigames, which reward Aavegotchi ($GHST) tokens.

Future Plans

Aavegotchi has several key developments planned such as the ability to export their 3D Aavegotchis as GLB files, providing more flexibility in their use.

The team is also working on integrating Aavegotchis with virtual and augmented reality environments to enhance their functionality across various metaverse platforms.

Additionally, features to use 3D Aavegotchis in video calls are in development, along with new animations for rare and mythical wearables.
